           2008 Muscat Half Marathon is set to get hearts racing across the Sultanate,

                           with a day of healthy fun for the whole family

Muscat, January 2008 - Taking place on the 1st of February 2008, the Muscat Half Marathon is now accepting registrations for this fantastic event, organised by the Oman Athletic Association and sponsored by Kellogg's.

Commencing at 7pm the marathon will offer both a 21km run as well as a 10km run, starting and finishing at Bahja Beach in Al Hail. The Oman Athletic Association has also arranged a 3km family fun run, that will kick off at 9.30pm from the same location, affording kids and their parents a chance to participate as well.

Race Director for the Oman Athletic Association, Dr. Mansoor Sultan Al-Tauqi said: "It is a pleasure to organise this event, and we are delighted that Kellogg's will be our Gold sponsor for the Muscat Half Marathon 2008. The event has been tailor made to appeal to a wide range of participants, and the day is sure to be fun."

The entry fee for the 21km Marathon is RO 2/- and the fee for the 10km Marathon and family fun run is just RO 1/-. The Muscat Half Marathon promises to be a spectacular event, providing a whole lot of fun with a healthy focus for the entire family to enjoy.
