MCS Employees Revel in
the Excitement of a
Family Fun Day Staff
Party
Muscat, 17th December
2007- Matrah Cold Stores held its annual "MCS Family Reunion" staff party
last Thursday with
record employee
attendance and
unprecedented fun. It
was a gathering of over
600 people, comprising
of both staff and their
families.
With a traditional sporting theme, the event was full of energy and
excitement and featured
a spectacular raffle and
grand prize giveaway.
The day also recognised
staff for long service
and dedication to the
company, and a highlight
of the day was an award
ceremony held to
recognise these
employees.
Held at the W.J. Towell farm in Seeb, the event captured the spirit of
Indian and Omani
traditional sports, with
attendees dressed in
cultural attire,
indicative of their
heritage and favourite
sports.
Dominic Myers - CEO of Matrah Cold Stores Operating Companies said: "We
hold this event with
different themes each
year, and each year it
seems to get bigger and
better. There is usually
an air of excitement
from our employees in
the lead up to the event
and this year was no
exception!"
The annual event acts as a platform for MCS to present ‘Value Awards’,
‘Teamwork Awards’ and
‘Employee of the Year’
awards (by division) to
employees for
outstanding workplace
behaviour. A special
‘Employee of the Year’
award was presented to
Mr. Ravi Bharat, who
acted as a vital link
this year and epitomized
excellence and
dedication towards his
work and his colleagues;
showing true strength of
character.
MCS held a raffle draw comprising of spectacular prizes including DVD
handy cams, I-Pods,
digital cameras, and GSM
phones, with one lucky
employee winning the
grand prize giveaway of
a huge plasma TV.
MCS measures the incredible success of this annual event from the
perspective of its
employees, and the
enthusiasm they have for
this event. As a company
with a commitment to its
staff and with a healthy
focus on family values,
the 'MCS family fun day'
also serves as a
platform to thank and
recognise employees for
their continued
dedication to the
company.
